MFT Sneak Peeks Day Three

It's the day where we finally get to show you the new Pure Innocence girls! Check Kim's blog at 11am EST for a complete line up of the sneaks!

I started with "You Make the Grade," a darling little girl all ready for school. I made a little trio of gifts with bright colors.

First up is a little lunch box holder. I've added some fun goodies in there and I think it'll be just the perfect surprise for someone I know who's made good grades recently. Since it's magnetic, I decided to decorate it with magnetic accents. This is the front:

And here's the back. I used Bling 'Bet letters and added little yellow baby braddies to each of the circles. I had a big floppy magnetic that used to be used for advertising. I covered it with some pretty cardstock, adhered my letters, and cut them out. Now they stick perfectly to the back of the lunch box and she can move them around!

I picked up this little clipboard at Archivers and this was a perfect time to use it! I covered it with the dp and added the image. All of the girls were colored with Copics and the "A+" was embossed. I tied of the lunch box and the clipboard with a little bit of Princess ribbon.

And last up, it a little post it note holder.

I used a little magnetic set to keep it closed, here's a shot of the inside:

If you're interested in being a GUEST DESIGNER next month for MFT, check out this thread! You could win next month's ENTIRE release!

That's all for now! I hope y'all are enjoying the sneaks so far! See ya soon. ;)

MFT Sneak Peeks Day One

It's the first day of sneak peaks for MFT's February release and I'm so excited about this release! There are so many GREAT new images! Check Kim's blog at 11am EST to see who is showing off the stamps today!

I just *had* to start with Flops. He's got a basket this month and it can be filled with all kinds of things--in my case--it's filled with L-O-V-E!

I found this Target dollar spot pail in my alterable stash and it was perfect for this project. I filled the little pail with chocolate, pencils, and one big plastic heart filled with candy. I used some of Basic Grey's Sugar Rush...which I thought fit well with all that candy! I stamped Flopsey and colored him in with Copics. I used some Glittered Garnishes along the bottom of the tag and added a glittery heart off to the side. It looks like it's coated with candy!

I tied the little tag to the pail and it's a very fun little Valentiney gift. Maybe one for an elementary schooler? I have just the person in mind!

Enjoy looking at all the peeks today and don't forget the release is February 3 at 10pm EST!

IHP Friday

Note: IHP Thursday will resume soon! ;)

I have a darling little card using one of MFT's Pure Innocence girls. She's all ready for Easter and to find some eggs. I used some of the darling Basic Grey Sugar Rush paper. I know Kate just got back from CHA and she's been teasing us with all the new BG that's going to be in stock soon!

I cut out the image using nesties and colored her with copics. I ordered my Blender Refill and finally refilled my dry marker! I need to get C01 now. My markers are gettin' dry. I used the uber handy paper piercer to get the baby braddies in their place!

Sneak peeks start tomorrow for MFT's next release! I'll be back with some fun goodies to show off!! ~megan

Sweet Lil' Bunnies

I've got a darling little baby card to show you today. One of my buddies just had her first grandbaby and I thought these little bunnies would be perfect to give with a gift.

The image fits perfectly into a circle nestie, which I think makes it very easy! I used a little eclipse tape to cover up my image and used the Congrats Circle from the Congrats All Around set in the background. I used a soft color so it would be too overpowering.

To add some soft baby detail, I used the sheer ribbon from this ribbon nest, stitched a straight line down the middle, and ruffled it with some brads. I added a little sentiment tag with a pretty button too.

I finished off the inside with the same sentiment! I think she'll be a GREAT grandma and I hope she likes the little clothes I got her!

I'll be back tomorrow with IHP Friday! ~megan

I used Basic Grey's Nook and Pantry for my dp and stitched around the edges of the base. I colored the image with Copics and I used a little brown button on top of the heart.

IHP January Challenge

This month's DT challenge is to use these cute little cases. I think most of us are making calendars, but I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone did.

Somehow, I missed the boat on some of the beautiful Amy Butler paper. Lucky for you, it's on SALE! You can click on that link, or search Amy Butler, and they'll show up! I just think they're beautiful.

I printed off a little calendar on white paper and used some ink to distress/age it. I used this set of nesties and this paper piercer to make little dots around the edges of the shape. To finish it off, I used a little liquid pearls to add a little oomph.

The paper reminds me of something my mom would like, so I wrapped it up in this lusciously soft two toned ribbon.

Thank you for your well wishes regarding all my computer problems. I thought they'd all been resolved, but I'm having problems getting my PSE up and running. End of the week? I hope it'll be done then! Here's a list of everyone participating, thanks for stopping by!

I'm back...

I have a sad story. My computer died. I bought an iBook G4 in 2005 and she's gone. I have been trying to fix the solution, but between the bad weather and work, it just hasn't happened...until today. On Tuesday, I was able to find a replacement and I'm hopeful to be back to my regularly scheduled computer forays. I go pick up the new one this afternoon and I'm thinking about sitting in on an iMovie class so I can put together that tutorial! So the sad story has a decent ending.

Moving on to today's card. A sweet lady from SCS asked me to make up a card for her blog. I thought this would be a perfect time to show off the two companies I have the privilege of designing for. I used Chocolate Bunny Flopsey from My Favorite Things.

I used some of the ever popular MME paper, nesties, and a bit of Shimmerz from i {heart} papers to make it complete. I colored the bunny with Twinkling H2Os, a product I have severely underused lately. I'm hoping to work in some more of it soon.
I have a quick nutrition consult this afternoon, then it's off to the Apple store. I hope to be back soon! ~megan

MFT Blog Hop & Shop!

If you just stumbled here, make sure you start the hop at Kim's blog. If you came here from my Yoyo Yellow pal, Susie, you're in good shape!

I get to show of the new Who's That Girl! She's got a friend and they're watching a movie and eating some of my favorite snack! POPCORN!! This is a full size WTG set, with lots of sentiments and a few little images that coordinate perfectly with the main image. And the sentiments? ADORABLE!

I stamped the image on a Perfect Paper Panel and paper pieced (which WTG do so well with!) using some MME dp. The other parts were colored with copics and I used the apron lace punch at the bottom of the main panel. I did a quick run through the zig zag maker too. My card measures a 4.25x4.25". I also decorated the inside using the little ticket image and some more dp.

Next up on the hop is Frances and I'm sure she's got something YUMMY to show you!!

The January releases are available NOW at the MFT store!

Sneak Peeks Day Five

If you jump over to Kim's blog at 11am EST, you'll find some links to sneak peeks of the new WTG, Chick Flick. There are a few others who are also previewing Make the Date and some fancy new templates!

ETA: if you're interested in a tutorial, please let me know! I will be happy to make one up if there is interest. ;)

I took an ordinary file folder, did some scoring, folding, cutting, and taping to make a little organizer. It was so easy to make! I snuck in some of the new Bling 'Bers too! This is the front and this whole project is using some yummy (and popular) My Minds Eye dp. I also pulled out my Slice and did a little scrolly cut, just for some embellishment. I need to use that little machine more often! ...and yes...I used baby braddies in my Bling 'Bers. Kim keeps telling me there's an endless supply, so I'm going to trust her....

When you open it up, there's two sides, with two little pockets down at the bottom. I'm envisioning coupons, gift cards, and/or receipts being tucked into the little pockets. Oh, and maybe a couple of appointment cards. On the left, I printed out the list template and cut it in half. The template is alligned perfectly, so I only had to cut it in half, hamburger style. I stamped "To Do List," from the Make the Date set. These slide right into the pocket, that way I can take them out when I run to the grocery store, plus I can add more as time goes on. I think there's about 10 in there now.

Next, is the right side, which displays the calendar. Again, the is the small calendar template, that is perfectly alligned so that I just cut hot dog and hamburger style. I stamped each month (part of the new set) at the top of each grid. I curved the word calendar on my acrylic block so it would follow the curvature of the tag punch.

As you can see here, the calendar was stapled together so that I can rip off each month as it passes. There is a little flap in the middle and I'll add a paper clip to hold additional little snippets that prove to be important.

That's all for today! I'll be back tonight at 10pm EST for the *big* hop after the release! See ya then. ~megan

Sneak Peeks Day Four

I'm so excited about this day! I have been waiting for an MFT calendar set AND a Bling 'Bers set!! The day is here. :) Check out Kim's blog at 11am EST for a complete list of sneak peekers!

I am so pleased that the new calendar set, Make The Date, has *so* many possibilities. I didn't even use it for a calendar today! The possibilities with this set are numerous. I chose a few of the phrases in the set to make this "My To Do List" book.

I used some of the wonderful cardstock that Kim offers as a base and cut the little phrases out. I used two baby braddies on each side of the phrases to make them stand out. I wanted the numbers to represent my "list," but I didn't want them to detract from my title. I decided to stamp them on the SnoCone cardstock in Versamark ink and heat emboss with clear embossing powder. It's subtle, but you can still see the lovely new numbers.

Next up, is a little project that I think my nephew (or any other kid) would love! They're big die!

Using the new Bling 'Bers set, I stamped out all the numbers and cut them out. I used two photo cubes that I found in the Target Dollar Spot. When you take them apart, they come with an assembled cardboard cube on the inside. I covered all the edges with a strip of white card stock, then I cut the squares out using nesties.
Monopoly anyone?

Sneak Peeks Day Three

Good morning and welcome to the Pure Innocence sneak peeks! It's a fun day and I'm looking forward to hopping through all the samples. Check out Kim's blog at 11EST for a run down of who is showing off these new sets.

This set is called Start The Day With A Whee! I stamped this sweet little girl on a Perfect Paper Panel and colored her with copics. I used some of the ribbon from the Princess Sheer Ribbon Nest and ruffled it at the top. I also added a number of baby braddies around my circle. :) I used some new Basic Grey DP and sewed around the edges. Here's a look at the inside:

This image, along with the others, will be release January 6th at 10pm EST. I'm off to see what else the DT came up with. ~megan

MFT Sneak Peeks Day Two

Good morning to you. I'd like some chocolate for breakfast! Mmmmm, chocolate.

Today, we're showcasing the NEW WTG, Chocoholic! Jump over to Kim's blog to get a complete list of the teaser makers. ;)

I've been using up some of the MME's Love Me Do dp. I stamped her on a Perfect Paper Panel and paper pieced her with some of the dp. I colored some parts with copics. I used some of the yummy and beautifully shiny bling and one little button to finish her off.

Here's a shot of the inside. The sentiment is from a different new set, a set dedicated to chocolate sentiments! Yum!

Sneak Peeks Day One

It's time for sneak peeks for the upcoming MFT release on January 6! If you go to Kim's blog, you'll get a complete run down of who is showing off today's stamps!

I'm using the darling little owl from the Thinking of Hoo set. He was previously a part of a kit, but now he can be purchased on his own. I stamped him on kraft paper and paper pieced his body. I added a few cross stitches to balance the button on the bottom. I shaded around the edges of the owl to give him a little dimension and color.

Also, be sure to check out the digi section in the MFT store. There's some new additions! If you'd like to play along, the challenge for this week's Wednesday Stamp Club is all about digi!

Happy New Year and MFT Announcement

Note: I'm pre-posting this because DH and I are celebrating New Years at a little Bed and Breakfast in Tulsa. ;) I hope y'all have a bright and happy New Year!

Before I start this post, make sure you hop on over to Kim's blog so you can see who the NEWEST DT members are! I'm not the only newbie now. *grin*

I wanted to make this little spa girl because she looks like she's celebrating the new year. :) I also used some of the delish Royalty ribbon to match her robe. I'd wear a robe wrapped in the luxurious ribbon any day.

I stamped her on a Perfect Paper Panel and used the paper tole technique. I don't know how I remember this, but Jessie did a tutorial on paper tole in the How'd They Do That forum. This detail shot also shows the straight stitching frame around the zig zag stitching.

And the inside. I just love this sentiment. I usually don't get pedicures in the winter, but my feet have been begging for one. DH loves to get massages (while I prefer not to), so we'll have a little time at the spa before ending our little celebration.

I hope y'all have a wonderful day. I really enjoy this holiday, it's always nice to get a fresh new start! ~megan
