  • Check out Kim’s blog any time after 11AM EST each day to get the list of which Design Team members are also featuring these sets on their blogs today.
  • Join us for the release party on Wednesday, September 1th from 8-10 PM EST on the MFT Member Forum of SCS.
  • All new products go live Wednesday at 10 PM EST in the MFT Boutique
  • MFT Hop & Shop starts Wednesday at10 PM EST on Kim's blog
  • Check the MFT forum for the Guest Designer contest where YOU could WIN all of the stamps of next months release!

To start today off, I have our sweet little Jolinne cuddled up with her sweet little bear.  I stamped the image on MFT's Copic cardstock and colored it with Prismacolor pencils.  This paper is really useful when you want to cut your image out.  I used the small scalloped dienamic, crochet trim {currently out of stock}, and pink buttons.

I also wanted to do a little something different with the newest Flapper.  These darlings are so unique, I thought it would be appropriate to do something a little different.  I used white craft ink and embossing powder to stamp the image on kraft cardstock.  What do you think about this effect?  I did a few highlights with a Copic marker and added a few pearls to her dress.  I used the small scallop dienamic and some crochet trim to finish it off.

I've had so much fun preparing for this release!  I hope you have as much fun as I do going through all the blogs.  :)

MFTeasers: Pure Innocence

It's Pure Innocence Day! It's also an exciting day because my hubby took the day off and we're headed to the city a little later. Before we get to that, I'm headed to Ladies Morning Out! So a fun, busy day ahead!

I'm sure you're rather interested in the new Pure Innocence sets being released though! I used the adorable Bee Mine. She comes with a few small sentiments for her little pail and I used it as a sentiment instead. It was too cute not to!

I started by stamping her on a Perfect Paper Panel and coloring her with Copics. I used the soon to be released Perfect Bracket die too--love it! Before you go thinking I got lazy, those buttons may look like they're naked, but they're not. I used thread instead of twine or floss, so it's a little hard to see. I thought I'd explain myself lest you think I would do such a heinous thing. ;)

There's a little crochet ribbon {currently out of stock} tying the whole thing up too. I'm going to leave you with a few details about the release before I go get ready for the day:

MFTeasers: Emma and Fred

Good morning! I'm excited about today's teasers, that's for sure. :) Here's what's important about this month's release:
  • Check out Kim’s blog any time after 11AM EST each day to get the list of which Design Team members are also featuring these sets on their blogs today.
  • Join us for the release party on Wednesday, September 1th from 8-10 PM EST on the MFT Member Forum of SCS.

  • Check the MFT forum for the Guest Designer contest where YOU could WIN all of the stamps of next months release!

To start, I used Emma Playing Mommy and the Wendy Alphabet set to make a quick little baby card. I stamped the image on a Perfect Paper Panel, colored with Prismacolor pencils, and added some fun glitter. I used the Framed Greetings dienamic and coordinating stamp set too.

Next up, is our sweet Fred Bear. I stamped him on MFT's watercolor paper {my favorite!} and colored him with Twinkling H2Os. I used the open scallop dienamic on the side panel. I used some fun fishy Cosmo Cricket paper and some crazy stitching to finish him off. The really exciting part is in the next picture though....

It's a REAL fishhook!! I ran to our local hardware/fishing/sports/catch all store {which was a little funny with baby in tow--I don't think they get many crazed paper crafting moms in that store} and found a set of hooks for $.80! It might make the card slightly dangerous, but it's a boy card. Boys are tough. ;)

Okay, I'm off for now, but I'll be back with more teasers soon! :)

MFTeaser SFYTT

Good morning stampy friends. Today is the first day of MFTeasers and I used Tiny Town Halloween. This set is totally darling and has a lot of images to be used for *cute* Halloween decorating. Here's some details about this month's release:
  • Check out Kim’s blog any time after 11AM EST each day to get the list of which Design Team members are also featuring these sets on their blogs today.
  • Join us for the release party on Wednesday, September 1th from 8-10 PM EST on the MFT Member Forum of SCS.

I used one of MFT's new dienamics, the notebook edge. It's even got a little perforation in it! LOVE it! I also used the clouds dienamic (previously released), some of the cork paper for my little circles, and some grey felt. It's all tied up with the skinny twill.

I popped the girl up and I just love how she creates a shadow on the background--she's really flying.

The adorable spider paper is from the Paper Loft and I picked it up last weekend at a scrapbooking event in Tulsa. Fun!

The other SFYTT Sisters have some yummy stuff to look at today!

You're Such a Smartie

Good morning!  I am feeling so refreshed this morning after getting some much needed sleep last night.  :)  My schedule is looking pretty open too, which means I should get some stampy time in.  Always a good thing!

I have a little Emma card to show you today.  Emma is heading off to school with some of her favorite Cosmo Cricket papers!

I used one of MFT's buttons and some of their fabulous twill to finish off the detailing.  Emma's skirt is paper pieced and colored with Copics everywhere else.  I just love all those numbers floating around in the background.

Have you been checking the MFT blog lately?  The freeze frames have been up and we're gearing up for another fabulous release.  :)

Vervey Cards

Last Friday Verve had another great release and I got to play along in their release sketches.  I used mostly Plain Janes, but one of the verses is from a set.

I wanted the cards to coordinate with each other, so I set out a few supplies that I knew I'd use on each card.  I used this lovely paper pack, some velvet paper, bling, nesties, chipboard butterflies, and ribbon.  I love how they turned out and I can't wait to give them as a little gifty!

Have a good Monday friends!

TGF SFYTT

Good morning SFYTT friends. I've got a little sample for you with an image from our sponsor, The Greeting Farm. I've long been an admirer of their stamps/digis because of their unique look. You know it's TGF image as soon as you look at it.

I chose the image Dressy Ebony to work with. It was the flower in her hair that won me over. I love how cute it is.

I kept her little sweater white and colored the rest of the image with Prismacolor pencils. I used some fun BG paper and a felt swirly. I went to the CKC Scrapbook Vendor Faire yesterday and found a few little goodies to use on my cards.

Check out the other SFYTT Sisters today too:

PJ's Got Coffee

This sweet little PJ is offering you some yummy coffee.  This week's TCP Tuesday is to use a drink/beverage TCP stamp.  I hadn't inked up my A Cuppa yet and this was the perfect opportunity.  Is it time for another TCP release yet?!  I hope so!

I also used Mercy's sketch challenge.  It's my first time to play along in one of her challenges and I just love this layout.

There's a couple of details to note.  I covered the cover in clear glaze and I popped up the coffee cup.  I also added some stickles for the steam of the coffee.  The apron is paper pieced and PJ is colored with Prismacolor pencils.  I stamped him in Momento ink, cut the oval with nesties, and used some of the fabulous Basic Grey White paper.

That's all from me for now.  There's a scrapbook convention in Tulsa tomorrow and Emma and I are going to check it out for her one month birthday.  :)

MFT VIP Blog Hop

I'm so excited about this month's VIP kit.  This WTG is totally darling and I think you're going to love her.  Not only that, one of the new dienamics is included in the kit--which is to die for!!  If you got here from Julie's blog, you're in the right spot.  If not, start at Kim's blog to see all the samples!

Isn't she cute?!  I stamped her on MFT's Copic paper {currently out of stock} and colored her with Prismacolor pencils.  I used Framed Greetings and the coordinating dienamic for the sentiment.  I added a few twiney buttons and cut some linen with the small scallop dienamic.

Don't forget the new a la modes are available tonight too!  Such fun going on tonight.  :)  You're next stop is the talented Christina!

Time To Celebrate

***This is my second post for the day, please scroll down for my IHP DT challenge post!***

Another special a la mode release today!  I just love the shape of this cake.  I know I'm not the only one who likes Ace of Cakes and other such baking shows.  I know they could recreate this cake without the bat of an eyelash!

I stamped the image on MFT's Copic cardstock and colored with Copics.  I used some chunky glitzy glitter on the chocolate part of the cake.  I used a bit of two different types of ribbon with two little buttons.

Check Kim's blog at 11am EST for a list of today's teasers!

IHP DT August Challenge

I'm excited to be playing in this month's i {heart} papers DT challenge.  The challenge is to make something that isn't a card, but rather, something organizational or relating to back to school.  I found this notebook at Target for less than $.20 and I figured I could afford that.  :)

I used some fabulous nerdy bird paper and a few other snippets I had on my desk.  I cut five different patterns out with the same square nestie.  Then, I used MFT's You Make the Grade Pure Innocence stamped in Momento.  I used a bling swirl and a snippet of this ribbon.

Check out the other girl's creations:

Groovy Girl a la mode

Can you believe it's time for more a la modes?  Isn't it exciting?  Some of you know that the artist behind these a la modes is Amanda, who (whom?!) happens to be Carole's niece.  You can read more about that here.

I stamped her on a Perfect Paper Panel and colored her with Copics.  I used the dienamics flower trio with orange cardstock and yellow felt.  I also used a snippet of yellow polka dot ribbon and a button with blue twine.

Check Kim's blog at 11am EST to see a list of all the girls with samples.  See ya soon!  ~megan

TCP Color Challenge

This week's TCP color challenge was to use kraft, denim, and candy apple red.  Of course, these colors screamed 4th of July to me.  And since I shamefully hadn't inked up my Beary Good Year set, I took this opportunity to give it a go.

I used some glitzy glitter on PJ's fireworks and MFT's ricrak die to use real denim.  Of course, I had to use some of my divine twine and tie a little button off to the side of PJ.  I also used the number 4 from the Nightie alphabet set.

I've been seeing a lot more TCP around blogland and with all the fun in their SCS forum, I'll be playing along more too.  Totally looking forward to that--and anticipating the next release.  Off to bathe the baby.  See ya soon!  ~megan

Sketchy SFYTT

Good morning!  It's good to be back from a little maternity break.  :)  I've been able to get some stamping done this past week and got to play along with this weeks SFYTT:

I missed one of our sponsorships, Totally Stampalicous.  I picked out this darling little baby (because I was pregnant at the time) and just fell in love with the little sentiment.  His name is Bentley, which is totally cute, too!

I stamped him with Momento ink and colored him with Copics.  I used some lovely blue ribbon and embossed the side panels with this embossing folder.  I used MFT's chain dienamic and some black felt right next to the big bow.

Check out the other SFYTT Sisters here:

Let's Go Mojo

I'm so excited to have finished a Mojo Monday sketch.  It's been far too long since I've gotten to play along.  I also got to use one of the Pure Innocence girls I hadn't inked up yet.  Plus, I got to use some fun Cosmo Cricket dp--one of my favorites.  I can't wait to get my hands on a few of the new lines.  ;)

I stamped the image with Momento ink and colored her with Prismacolor pencils and OMS.  I used nesties to cut out the main panel and baby braddies on the sentiment banner.  I stitched the denim strip to the back panel and added a twiney button in the middle.

I've been able to get some stampy time in while my little sweetie sleeps, so I should have a few things to show you the next few days.  ~megan

Who's That {baby} Girl?

Good Monday morning! I found this project in my files and realized I was supposed to show you this the day I was in the hospital. So, it never got posted!

The image is the newest WTG that was released by MFT earlier this month. You can fill the basket with different kinds of goodies--such a cute idea! I stamped my image on a perfect paper panel and colored with it with Copics. I also used my new embossing folder on the panel right behind the image. I used Banner Day Alphabet and the framed greetings dienamic for my little grocery list notebook.

I covered the strawberries with a clear glaze pen and added a few lines to make it a woven basket. Here's a detail shot:

And, it's high time I've showed you a picture of my little angel. She's taking a nap on her Daddy in this picture:

Some Bunny Special

It's late Saturday night and my little peanut isn't quite ready to go to sleep yet.  She did stamp with me last week, so I have a little card to show you!

The Cat's Pajamas is having a sale and Alma shipped out my order VERY quickly.  Don't tell anyone, but I already had this stamp set {uninked--gasp}, but I did use my new Cut Up die on this card.  It also happens to be this week's TCP Tuesday challenge too!

I'm showing you a close up because I want you to see the crackle accents.  It totally made added some great detail to that mushroom.  I also used some glitzy glitter on the dandelion petals.

I stamped the image using Momento and colored it using Prismacolor pencils and OMS.  I cut the image using nesties and popped it up on the card front.  I used some brown bling and a twiney button on top of my Cut Up flower.

I should be back soon--I've had some extra time to play while baby girl sleeps.  :)  ~megan

MFT Blog Hop and Shop

Welcome!  I'm so excited to be your first stop after Kim on today's hop!  This is an amazing release {aren't they all?!?!} with all the lovely stamps and the to-die-for Dienamics!

I get to show off two Clearly Sentimental stamp sets today.  This is a great line of stamps to whip a fast card and to pair with some of our other favorite images.  To start, this is my sample with the Clearly Sentimental About Gardens stamp set.

I used some of MFT's ruffled ribbon to make this big yellow flower.  I used the green felt for leaves and put a twiney button right in the middle.  Here's a close up of the flower:

Next, I used Clearly Sentimental About Harvesting.  It's this month's Triple Scoop set and I chose this sentiment to go with our sweet Pure Innocence girl (currently out of stock).

I stamped the image on MFT's watercolor paper and colored her with Twinkling H2Os.  I tied one of the panels up with some twill ribbon and stamped the sentiment on a framed greetings dienamic cut out.

Next up is my sweet friend Susan and I know she's got something great for you to see!

MFTeasers: Flapper Doodles

Today is an exciting day.  Why?  It's the day we get to show off our *new* character: Flapper Doodle!  I've go two projects to show you today.

To start, I've used Hotsy Totsy Birthday to make a little tag to go on a birthday gift bag.  I stamped the image on MFT's fabulous {you know I love this stuff, right?} watercolor paper and colored it with Twinkling H2Os.  I covered her balloons with clear glaze, used the scalloped dienamic on the base, and tied it to the bag using some crochet ribbon.  I adhered some dp to the bag and stamped the sentiment on a little tag too.

Are you ready for this image?  I mean.  Are you really ready?  Flappers in a Vespa.  I used the same watercolor paper as above and colored it the same way too.  I stitched a few panels of coordinating dp to some Berrylicious cs and tied it with a black bow.  The card base is MFT's Red Hot cs.  Aren't they darling?  I just love them!

MFTeasers: Pure Innocence

Hi friends!  It feels like eons since I've blogged--but I have a good excuse!  My baby was born about two weeks ago and she's been keeping me busy.  I've been having a few problems recovering, but I think I'm on my way up.  Which is VERY good news!!  I'll be showing some pictures of my sweet little girl soon, but for now, it's about our Pure Innocence girl.

I have two samples today because I love this month's PIs so much.  I know you will too!  First up is Being Cute Is What I Do.  I stamped her on a Perfect Paper Panel and colored her with Copics.  I used some fun BG paper and stamped the sentiment on a heart.  There's a button tied up with some twine and a lovely dienamics border.  {{Speaking of dienamics, can you believe the gorgeous new ones?!?!}}

Next up is Bunch of Flowers.  She's got a gorgeous bouquet with a sweet little butterfly by her side.  I stamped her on MFT's fabulous watercolor paper and colored her with Twinkling H2Os.  I cut her out and layered her on a couple of circles, one of which was embossed.  I tied a big ole bow with some lovely ribbon that coordinated nicely with the dp.
